After removal of the intruder, we clean out and replace damaged insulation. Rodents tend to chew or scratch at insulation, leaving it ineffective. They also leave droppings in the insulation, which can cause problems with the growth of bacteria or fungi. After disinfecting the area, we use boric acid-infused insulation, for use only by licensed pest control companies, to prevent future insect infestations, such as spiders, silver fish, earwigs, centipedes, and even some ants. Why boric infused insulation? It repels many different types of pests, and it offers a flame retardant.
