This is long-form writing in the journalistic sense: analytical features, explainers, and investigative pieces built on real reporting rather than surface-level summary. I research primary sources, industry data, regulatory filings, and expert commentary to construct articles that hold up under scrutiny from an informed audience — the kind of reader who already knows the basics and is looking for a piece that adds something new. An explainer breaks down a complex mechanism (how a Layer 2 rollup works, how a new SEC rule affects custody, how a SaaS pricing model shifts unit economics) into something a smart generalist can follow without oversimplifying it into inaccuracy. A feature takes a broader view — trends across a market, the human or business story behind a shift, the tension between competing narratives — and builds a coherent argument out of disparate evidence. Investigative-leaning pieces require tracing claims back to sources, cross-checking figures across multiple outlets, and being explicit about what is confirmed versus reported versus speculative. Across all of these, the goal is the same: writing that an editor at a serious industry publication would run without extensive rework, because the structure, sourcing, and prose are already at that bar.
