Bariatric Surgeon Levon Grigoryan

My name is Levon Grigoryan, and I am a bariatric, laparoscopic, and general surgeon based in Yerevan, Armenia. I specialize in surgical treatment of obesity and metabolic disorders, as well as minimally invasive abdominal procedures.

I currently serve as the Head of the Endoscopic Department at Slavmed Medical Center, where I perform advanced endoscopic and laparoscopic interventions. My clinical practice focuses on bariatric surgery, including modern weight-loss procedures designed to improve long-term health, metabolic balance, and quality of life.

In addition to bariatric surgery, I work extensively in laparoscopic general surgery, colorectal (coloproctology) surgery, oncologic surgery, and diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy. I strongly believe in minimally invasive approaches whenever possible, as they allow for faster recovery, reduced postoperative pain, and better overall outcomes for patients.

I am a member of several international professional organizations, including the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO), the European Hernia Society, and the European Society of Coloproctology. These affiliations allow me to stay closely connected to global advancements in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery.
